Define the geometry.
Connect with confidence.
Identify the fitting geometry, applicable standard and project drawing before confirming an order.
Dimensions
A practical checklist—not a substitute for the applicable standard.
| Fitting | Dimensions to specify |
|---|---|
| Elbows → | Pipe size, wall thickness, angle, radius and centre-to-end dimensions. |
| Tees → | Run and branch sizes, wall thicknesses and centre-to-end dimensions. |
| Reducers → | Large and small end sizes, wall thicknesses, overall length and concentric or eccentric form. |
| Caps → | Pipe size, wall thickness, overall length and end preparation. |
| Stub Ends → | Neck size, wall thickness, length, lap diameter, lap thickness and mating-face details. |
| Special Fittings → | Approved drawing, datums, dimensions, tolerances and connection details. |
Make the requirement clear.
- Units and sizes
State NPS or DN and the units used on drawings.
- Edition and scope
Name the standard edition and check that it covers the fitting and configuration.
- Drawing revision
Identify the approved revision and resolve conflicting requirements before ordering.
- Non-standard dimensions
Flag custom geometry for a feasibility review.
Find the applicable reference.
Review the standards directory for official publisher links, then check the relevant product.
Fitting-specific requirements
Before you specify
Are nominal size and outside diameter the same?
No. Nominal size is a designation; specify dimensions using the applicable standard and project documents.
Where are the numerical dimensional charts?
Detailed numerical charts are planned for a later update. These pages currently provide specification checklists and publisher references.
What if a drawing conflicts with a standard?
Request clarification and agree the governing requirements before manufacture.
Can I request a custom dimension?
Yes. Include a drawing and identify all deviations for a feasibility review.
