PROJECT CHECKLIST

Make the requirement clear.

  • Product form

A pipe or plate specification does not automatically define a finished fitting.

  • Alternatives

Do not substitute grades without documented project approval.

  • Documentation

Agree certificates and inspection records before placing the order.

  • Availability

Confirm the requested grade, geometry and supply condition together.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you specify

Is the grade name enough for an enquiry?

Include the applicable product specification, grade, dimensions, quantity and any supplementary requirements.

Are similar grades interchangeable?

Not automatically. Any alternative requires review against the project requirements and approval.

Can I request inspection certificates?

State the required document type and traceability scope in the enquiry so these can be reviewed before ordering.

Are material and dimensional standards separate?

They address different requirements. A complete specification may need both, together with the project requirements.
