A precise transition.
A connected system.

Butt weld reducers connect different pipe diameters. Explore concentric and eccentric configurations and specify the material and end dimensions your project requires.

TWO CONFIGURATIONS

Choose the geometry your layout needs

The difference is the alignment of the two pipe ends.

01 / ALIGNED CENTRES

Concentric Reducers

The large and small ends share a common centreline, creating a symmetrical transition between diameters.

  • Symmetrical profile around the pipe axis.
  • Specify the large and small end sizes separately.
  • Confirm end thicknesses and overall length against the project specification.
02 / OFFSET CENTRES

Eccentric Reducers

The end centres are offset, allowing one side of the transition to remain aligned with the adjoining pipe.

  • Offset profile for layouts requiring a flat-side alignment.
  • State the required orientation on the piping drawing.
  • Selection and installation orientation depend on the system design.

Specify concentric or eccentric explicitly in your enquiry. Pipe size alone does not identify the required geometry.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you specify a reducer

What is the difference between concentric and eccentric reducers?

A concentric reducer has aligned end centre points. An eccentric reducer has offset centres, providing a flat-side alignment. Choose the configuration to suit the approved piping layout.

Can the two ends require different wall thicknesses?

Specify the required wall thickness at both ends. Compatibility with the connecting pipe and the applicable fitting specification should be checked during technical review.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send the reducer type, both end sizes and thicknesses, material grade, applicable standard, quantity and documentation requirements. Include a drawing for any special geometry.
