Complete Butt Weld Fitting Solutions
From standard elbows and tees to reducers, caps, stub ends and application-specific fittings, Ferrobend supports a broad range of industrial piping requirements.
“Butt weld” describes the end-to-end joint between the pipe and fitting. One end does not slide into a socket; the adjoining ends meet at the weld. Actual end preparation is governed by the order and applicable documents.
Butt weld fittings form an essential part of permanent piping systems, providing reliable connections between pipes while maintaining a continuous welded piping system.
Our fitting range covers common piping configurations as well as specialized requirements where dimensional, material and application requirements need to be carefully controlled.
Fittings can be supplied in a wide range of stainless steels, duplex and super duplex steels, nickel alloys, titanium, copper alloys, carbon steels and alloy steels according to applicable requirements.

Before you choose a fitting
How do the fitting categories differ?
Elbows change pipe direction, tees create branches, reducers connect different diameters and caps close pipe ends. Stub ends form part of lap-joint flange connections. Special fittings require a defined drawing or specification.
Is nominal pipe size enough to specify a fitting?
No. Include the fitting configuration, wall thickness or schedule, material grade, applicable standard and quantity. Some fittings also need an angle, radius or separate sizes for each connection.
Which standard should I specify?
Use the standard and edition required by the project. Dimensional and material requirements may refer to different specifications, so include both where applicable.
How should I enquire about a non-standard fitting?
Provide a dimensional drawing, material specification, quantity and inspection requirements. Manufacturing feasibility and availability need to be confirmed for the specific request.
